On this day, back in 1971, actor, director and producer Sean Astin is born to actress Patty Duke.
Astin is known for playing many movie roles. He is first known for the role of Mikey Walsh in The Goonies, and he appeared in the 1986 Disney made-for-TV movie, The B.R.A.T. Patrol. Other movies that he has starred include The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and Rudy.
Disney fans might recognize him as the voice for "Special Agent Oso" in the TV show of the same name. Astin met fans of Oso at Disney's D23 expo in August 2011.
