In 2001 The Walt Disney Company started producing a collection of very special DVD's which were named "Walt Disney Treasures." Launched in the year that would have been Walt Disney's 100th birthday, the sets were the brainchild of film historian Leonard Maltin and Disney's nephew Roy E. Disney.
