Disneyrewind - June 7, 1990 Universal Studios Orlando Resort officially opened

Ok so this one isn't really Disney but it affects them either positively or negatively depending on how you look at it.  Universal Studios Orlando Resort's official opening was plagued with serious glitches to the point to where if you asked for your money back they would give it back.  After several months of tweaking attractions and a bit longer rebuilding another Universal ended up being a big hit for the company. You know it's bad when Steven Spielburg and his family ended up being stuck on Jaws for better part of a day.


Today Universal Studios Orlando consists of 2 parks:

  • Universal Studios Florida
  • Universal's Islands of Adventure


Universal Studios Florida
"Ride the Movies."
This park is what you would expect from a film company it tries to make you feel like you are in the movies.

Opened May 28, 1999
"Live the Adventure"
This theme park is packed full of thrill rides including 4 roller coasters, 3 thrill rides and motion simulators.
